Freezing
A report is written once, after the month's last daily prices and the monthly fundamentals refresh are in. It is then archived and never overwritten: later data restatements do not change it. A correction is published as an explicit, dated revision and earlier revisions stay readable. The page text is rendered from the stored numbers, so wording fixes can apply to old reports; the numbers cannot change.
Universe and eligibility
- Market capitalisation of at least ₹500 cr, a classified sector, at least 80 trading days of price history, and EPS or revenue updated within the last 9 months.
- Fundamentals are joined with a 60-day reporting lag: a quarter counts only once it would plausibly have been published.
- Only companies listed today are covered (survivorship bias); sector indices use today's constituents, weighted by market cap.
Re-ratings
- P/E is price divided by EPS (TTM), so the change in P/E equals the price change divided by the EPS change, exactly.
- Listed when the one-month P/E change is 15% or more in either direction, EPS (TTM) is positive at both ends, and net profit (TTM) was at least ₹5 cr a month earlier.
- "Multiple expanded": P/E up with EPS flat or higher. "Compressed despite growth": P/E down while EPS grew 10% or more. "Re-rated down": P/E down with the price lower. Up to 10 rows each, largest move first.
- A P/E that rose because earnings fell is not a re-rating and is not listed; names with a share-count jump (possible split or bonus timing mismatch) in the month are excluded.
- "P/E vs own range" is the percentile of the current P/E within the company's own history, shown with at least 36 months of history.
Divergences and rotation
- Scores follow the Divergence Radar rules: fundamentals score at or above 70 with a price score at or below 40 (or the reverse), a gap of at least 35 points.
- "New" and "left" are measured against the list published in the previous report, not a recomputation.
- Sector rotation is each sector index's one-month return minus the ApnaFunda All index; quadrant changes ignore sectors near the centre.
Ownership, trending and earnings quality
- Ownership figures are copied from the smart-money tracker for the quarter that became final that month.
- Trending entrants and drop-outs compare the top 8 companies and top 6 sectors of each lens with the previous report.
- Earnings-quality flags use fixed colour thresholds; a change is listed only when both the old and new colour are known.
This report is generated automatically from public financial data using fixed, published rules. It describes what changed in the data; it is not investment advice, a research report, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. ApnaFunda is not registered with SEBI as a research analyst or investment adviser. Data may contain errors, is point-in-time with a 60-day reporting lag, covers only companies listed today (past delistings are excluded), and may differ from company filings.
