What ApnaFunda collects, why, and the choices you have

Who we are

ApnaFunda (“we”, “us”) is a research website for Indian listed equities at apnafunda.com. This policy explains what information the site handles when you use it. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect

Usage analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and features are used: page views and interactions such as opening a section, sorting a table, adding a company to a watchlist or switching a metric. Google sets cookies and receives your IP address, device and browser details, and approximate location for this purpose.
Feedback. If you send feedback, we receive the message, the optional email address you type, and the page you sent it from. It is delivered through a third-party form-processing service.
Server logs. Our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL to serve the site and keep it secure.

We do not collect your name, phone number, financial account details, portfolio or trading information.

What stays in your browser

Your watchlist, its sort order, collapsed panels and your light or dark theme preference are stored in your browser’s local storage (keys beginning funda.). They are not sent to us and never leave your device unless you choose to share a link or export. Clearing your site data removes them.

How we use it

To understand what is useful and improve or fix the site.
To reply to feedback when you leave an email address.
To keep the site secure and working.

We use your information only for these purposes and do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and your choices

Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a content blocker, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works without them. Enabling your browser’s “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal does not change how the site works.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in Google Analytics (up to 14 months). Feedback is kept for as long as it is useful for improving the site, and email addresses are deleted on request.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and similar laws elsewhere, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent for its processing. Email hello@apnafunda.com (or use the ) and tell us what you need; include the email address you used so we can find it. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we limit what we collect. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
